i2Coalition Mourns Passing of Steadfast CEO Karl Zimmerman

The Internet Infrastructure Coalition (i2Coalition) mourns the loss of respected industry entrepreneur Karl Zimmerman, who was the CEO and Founder of member company Steadfast, and a friend to many within the Internet infrastructure industry.

Karl was an honest broker of managed cloud services, garnering deep respect among his clients and peers alike. Under his leadership, Steadfast achieved a strong reputation for high quality and deep integrity which continues today.

Karl was a regular attendee to i2Coalition’s yearly fly-ins.  His powerful voice made a significant difference ensuring that policymakers understood our industry’s position. 

i2Coalition Executive Director Christian Dawson shared “Karl was special. Insightful and direct, while being the most decent and honest person I knew in the industry. He defined integrity in our industry. Whenever we reached out to him to help the industry, he took pride in being of service to it. He was a sweet soul, and we will miss him.”

i2Coalition Policy Chair David Snead shared “Karl was a force for good in life, and in our business.  I learned a lot from him as a friend and colleague, and am a better person for having known him.”
