Join Us For The eco/i2Coalition Webinar On ICANN Contracted Party GDPR Compliance
The i2Coalition and our partner in Europe, eco – Association of Internet Industry, have been working diligently on an issue we know is important to many in the Internet infrastructure industry. Europe’s new General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR. This new regulation will affect nearly all Internet businesses. As such we are pleased to offer a webinar detailing all new information compiled from recent i2Coalition and eco work, consisting of what changes businesses will need to make to be in compliance. This webinar is reserved exclusively for i2Coalition and eco members:
“ICANN has presented multiple data models to its contracted parties regarding their contractual agreements with ICANN and the GDPR. They’ve presented some of the legal analysis they have gathered to date and turned to the community for feedback and alternatives.
i2Coalition’s partners in the EU, eco – Association of Internet Industry, have presented the only comprehensive community-based compliance model. i2Coalition and many of its members contributed to the effort. On February 9th, we will walk through this community-driven alternative, as well as discuss topics looking beyond WHOIS to include registration data more broadly, including data required to be escrowed and retained under ICANN’s contracts. We will provide an overview of all compliance models, but place a focus on the specific merits of the community model.”
The webinar will be held Friday the 9th of February from 15:00-16:30 UTC.
We highly encourage all i2Coalition members to register and attend. If you are a member and did not receive the registration please let us know at [email protected].
