Working Groups & Initiatives

The i2Coalition supports those who build the nuts and bolts of the Internet. We believe the continued growth of the Internet is vital for growing an environment of innovation and seek to engage in ways to foster the success of the Internet and Internet infrastructure industry.

As a member-driven organization, the i2Coalition’s Working Groups allow members to drive the activities of the i2Coalition in specific areas. All of our members are invited to join specific interest sections within the i2Coalition, to help us lead on issues that are important to members and to the Internet infrastructure industry.

Member Working Groups include:

  • Public Policy Working Group
Each month the PWG distributes a detailed members-only legislative update that summarizes what policymakers are doing that may help or threaten our members’ bottom lines and market opportunities. The PWG also conducts monthly meeting calls to brief members with the latest updates on our top priority issues and to allow them to engage in valuable, real-time dialog with our professional staff.
  • DNS Issues Working Group (Formerly the ICANN Working Group)
The DNS Issues Working Group offers members important information in the realm of Internet governance regarding issues ranging from interoperability to digital surveillance. The DNS Issues Working Group is your interface with Internet governance bodies such as ICANN. Our success means maintaining an inclusive, open, secure and trustworthy Internet.
  • Insights & Innovations Committee
The i2Coalition Insights & Innovation Committee facilitates important discussions and cooperation on methods and practices that will promote security, safety and privacy, and issues relating to diversity, equity and inclusion. A key activity of the Committee is to drive the selection of topics and experts to feature in our ongoing Best Practices Speaker Series aimed at making the Internet a better and safer place through the use of technology, policy and day-to-day practices.

We also organize two groups focused on specific verticals in the industry:
