The Best Practices by TechOps initiative helps spread knowledge among registries and registrars. They’ve created documents that can be used by registries and registrars to guide their practices, and are looking for feedback and case studies on the best ways to administer domains.
The ICANN Registrar Stakeholder Group (RrSG) created the TechOps group in April 2017 to address technical and operational needs and challenges. The Best Practices by TechOps initiative was created soon after as an open space to exchange experiences, discuss ideas, and establish best practices in cooperation with the ICANN Registry Stakeholder Group (RySG). Since the first meeting in September 2017, Best Practices by TechOps has had many calls and face-to-face meetings around topics such as maintenance, reports, and domain transfers.
