i2Coalition is Among Organizations Offering Recommendations for Upcoming G20 Trade & Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting
The Internet Infrastructure Coalition (“i2Coalition”) is among the organizations supporting a list of recommended outcomes in advance of the G20 Trade & Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting happening alongside the 2019 G20 Summit in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan, on June 8 and 9.
The statement builds off the 2018 Industry Recommended Outcomes statement featuring many of the same organizations.
At last year’s summit, the G20 recognized a thriving digital economy relies on “an environment that supports innovation, appropriate policy frameworks, the capacity of people and businesses to adapt to digital transformations, and the free flow of information, ideas and knowledge, while respecting applicable legal frameworks.”
The i2Coalition encourages the G20 to reiterate the importance of these pillars in this year’s meeting of Digital Economy Ministers.
