Thank You i2Coalition: We Have a Voice in Congress

As the one year anniversary of the i2Coalition draws near, it invites a time of reflection and contemplation upon the amazing accomplishments that this dynamic group has successfully executed.  The i2Coalition has established itself as the leading voice for the Internet infrastructure and their influence compounds itself daily.

The i2 has succeeded in making key policy makers listen to the concerns and dilemmas regarding internet rules and policies.  The members of the i2 strive daily to positively influence and regulate Internet government policy.

One of the past year’s highlights was Internet Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill.  This all-day event emphasized to Congress the importance of keeping the Internet free and open.  Another highlight was the induction of a successful letter-writing campaign to congressional leaders to urge greater transparency in national security related requests by the US government.

GlowTouch has chosen to be involved with the i2 Coalition for a variety of reasons that were detailed in our initial blog post.  The GlowTouch Team is a strong advocate of membership and we actively encourage our peers to join the movement for a moderated and protected Internet.

GlowTouch eagerly looks forward to what year two of the i2 Coalition will bring.  We seek to help foster policies and procedures for good Internet governance, and are happy to participate in sculpting wise policies and regulations.  GlowTouch welcomes the opportunity to volunteer in the second year of i2.  Here’s to an auspicious, well-informed and fruitful year!
