The Internet Infrastructure Coalition (i2Coalition) congratulates Alan Davidson on his confirmation today by the U.S. Senate as Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information and Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).  The following statement can be attributed to i2Coalition Executive Director Christian Dawson.

“With his substantial prior government and private sector experience, and his deep technical understanding of the Internet and information technology, Alan Davidson will be an outstanding leader of the NTIA. Alan Davidson is a technology expert who knows that the best policy outcomes happen when policymakers collaborate and communicate with all of the key stakeholders and, in the process, take the time to understand the nuts and bolts of how the Internet and other complex information systems work.
