i2Coalition Announces Two More Board Members for 2023
Today the Internet Infrastructure Coalition (i2Coalition is pleased to announce that Keith Drazek, VP of Public Policy and Government Relations at VeriSign; and Jon Morgan, Technical Director of Threat Data and Enablement at Recorded Futures, are joining our Board of Directors for 2023.
Jon brings 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, insider threat detection, and public policy development. Jon works with large-scale infrastructure providers globally to protect their networks, customers, and the broader Internet community from targeted and commodity threats and their perpetrators.
Jon has a background in public service, having served in the New Hampshire State Senate. This experience has given him unique insights into the policymaking process and governmental workings. When he’s not working to strengthen cybersecurity or advocating for improved policies, Jon remains committed to giving back to the community through various philanthropic endeavors.
With a passion for creating a safer digital world, Jon Morgan continues to be a driving force in the cybersecurity industry, making a positive impact on both private and public fronts.
Keith brings over 30 years of experience and leadership in the technical functions of the internet and the Domain Name System (DNS), internet policy development, government relations, external affairs and channel management. He is responsible for actively and broadly participating in the development and advocacy of Verisign’s policy interests in multiple arenas involving internet identifiers directly affecting the company’s products and services.
For the past 12 years at Verisign, Keith has focused on internet policy development and implementation, as well as government and stakeholder relations. Prior to that, Keith spent 10 years at the United States Department of State, where he developed understanding of the workings of government, diplomacy, leadership and collaboration.Â
Previously, Keith held several management positions in the domain name industry for over a decade, including a registrar and a registry, where he actively engaged with the top-level domain and global internet governance space, advocating for the evolution of the governmental multi-stakeholder model.
Keith has been an active member in the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) multi-stakeholder community for over 20 years, most recently serving as chair of the Expedited Policy Development Process (EPDP) Phase 2A Working Group. Prior to that, he served as chair of the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Council, as chair of the Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) and was elected to the Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) Council. Keith was also a member of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) Transition Coordination Group (ICG) and a key contributor to the IANA Transition’s ICANN Accountability and Transparency Cross-Community Working Group (CCWG).
