We look forward to welcoming Internet infrastructure industry colleagues to Washington, D.C. for the annual i2Coalition Fly-In. The Internet infrastructure industry’s premier event, the Fly-In is a unique opportunity to directly engage legislators and policymakers in conversation about the significant impact Internet policy issues have on our members’ businesses. The Fly-In takes place June 26th and 27th, 2024.
The 2023 Fly-In saw a record turnout as we greeted i2Coalition member representatives from across the United States as well as thought-leader colleagues from Europe. In 2023, the focus was on our number-one trade priority: the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Our membership connected with the senior officials leading the U.S. negotiations with the EU, as well as the respected thought leaders in Washington working to help secure the framework’s future resilience. We were also pleased to welcome Jen Easterly, Director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, to our gathering, as well as senior officials from the Commerce and State Departments.
In 2024, we look forward to scheduling meetings on June 26th between i2Coalition members and their elected representatives on Capitol Hill. Small groups of i2Coalition members will fan out to discuss the highest-priority policies to Internet infrastructure providers, directly with members of Congress. On June 27th, i2Coalition will host members at CTA Innovation House for a day of meetings with government officials, capped off with a social event.
The i2Coalition Fly-In offers an opportunity for members to collaborate with one another while educating on and advocating for issues of importance to the Internet infrastructure industry. This is the industry’s best opportunity to initiate, build, and strengthen meaningful working relationships with key policymakers and legislators.
