Ashley Heineman is a leader in technical and public policy issues related to the Domain Name System (DNS), with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She is Director of Government and Industry Affairs at GoDaddy, where she focuses on global DNS and registrar operations.
 
Prior to joining GoDaddy, Heineman worked at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) within the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she led programs related to DNSSEC development and implementation at the DNS Root and the IANA Stewardship Transition.
 
Heineman currently serves on ICANN’s GNSO Council and previously served as Chair of the ICANN Registrar Stakeholder Group from 2020 to 2024. During her time at NTIA, she was the U.S. government representative to ICANN’s Governmental Advisory Committee from 2016 to 2019.
