i2Coalition Appoints Blacknight CEO Michele Neylon to Board
Today, the i2Coalition announced the appointment of Blacknight Internet Solutions CEO Michele Neylon to the coalition’s board.
“Under Michele Neylon’s leadership, Blacknight has been one of Europes’s most cutting-edge Internet companies, and we welcome his experience on issues important to our industry, in Europe and across the globe,” said Christian Dawson, i2Coaltion Co-Founder and Board Chair. “Michele’s active participation in ICANN and other groups and projects focusing on the Internet infrastructure industry give him invaluable insight that will make him a welcome addition to our board.”
Blacknight, based in Ireland and 100% Irish owned, is an ICANN accredited domain registrar and hosting company. Recipients of several awards for their revolutionary use of social media, Blacknight is one of Europe’s leading Internet companies.

Michele Neylon is founder and managing director of Blacknight Internet Solutions. Michele was shortlisted for the Irish Internet Association Net Visionary Awards 2005 under the Internet Entrepreneur category. In 2006 he was shortlisted for both Internet Entrepreneur and Best Blogger. In 2008 he was shortlisted in three categories: Business Blogger, Internet Entrepreneur and Internet Marketer. Michele won the IIA Net Visionary Awards in 2008 for Best Business Blogger and Best Internet Marketer, and Blacknight won best Business Blog at the Irish Blog Awards in 2009. In 2010, Michele was awarded an IIA Net Visionary Award in 2010 for Best Use of Social Media, as well as IIA’s 2013 Overall Net Visionary Award.
