Open-Xchange Summit Round-Up
The theme of the 2015 OX Summit was “Stay Open”.
Much of the programming for the two day event was focused on just that – how do we keep the Internet free and open, and deal with the seemingly overwhelming challenges that face us? I was excited to be a part of two exciting panels that attempted to address those essential questions. The Internet is under threat from forces that threaten its accessibility, while simultaneously we are dealing with a dramatic erosion of customer confidence in the Cloud. It’s going to take technologists, civil society, legislators and the general public to come together to get us to where we need to get to. Fortunately at OX Summit we had representatives of all of those groups on hand and the conversations were lively and productive. Hilary, Elisabeth and I got to meet with many i2Coalition member companies, as well as plenty of old friends. Thanks to Open-XChange for inviting i2Coalition to participate in this year’s event, and for being a partner in helping the Internet and it’s infrastructure “Stay Open”.
