Member Spotlight: Enzu

Enzu Inc. is a Nevada based provider of IaaS. We empower our customers by building custom cloud solutions for their enterprises, in data centers throughout the world. Enzu is an IT backbone for its partners, giving them infrastructure needed to succeed.

We are flexible and scalable, focusing on the technical challenges of enterprise clients, bringing a fully automated, user friendly experience to Cloud and IT technology. We’ve built out a portal that is entirely automated; you can easily automate and configure most tasks in less than 15 minutes. We make it powerful and easy for customer to run their business how they see fit, providing APIs for integrations with other systems. We have locations throughout the US, and are expanding internationally with the best blended networks for Asia and China markets.

Keeping the Internet open and free from interference is of critical importance to Enzu. The Internet has led to great social and economic changes across the world, opening doors to diverse participation. We would be doing a great disservice by restricting it. When we make policies or laws that restrict the Internet or its innovators, we turn users away from further digital buy-in, and inhibit the expansion of economic growth worldwide.

Encryption for example, will never be banned everywhere. When we ban encryption in our home countries we’re only hurting ourselves, forcing companies and private users who wish to protect their private data overseas. If you look at the Snowden releases, you can measurably see how much money was lost because of the lack of trust in digital products and internet based systems. These aren’t only US based enterprises, these are International companies, with business lost. Anytime the cloud and hosting industries takes a hit of billions of dollars, it affects everyone.

We have seen and heard the i2Coalition discussed in various industry forums. We decided to join when an email was forwarded to me by another industry member discussing the work the i2Coalition does. This is Enzu’s first foray into policy work, and we hope to continue to educate those in influential positions, on the Internet’s unique qualities and the risks of disruption.

If you use the encryption discussions as an example, there was an incredible amount of misinformation masquerading as legitimate sources. Many legislators and policy influencers took a position without knowing the facts. As an industry, we need to continue to educate the masses, providing accurate technology information.
