i2Coalition Members Headed to Austin!
SXSW Interactive begins this week and I’m looking forward to this year’s full schedule. Every year thousands of attendees file into Austin, Texas to check out the latest technologies and 2013 will be no exception.
This year, I’m going to represent the i2Coalition and I’m more than excited to share the success that we’ve experienced since our launch just six short months ago, most recently our Internet Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill and upcoming March 26 webinar “12 Reasons to Join the i2Coalition: What You Get and Why It Matters.”
There are plenty of fun activities to look forward to at SXSW and many i2Coalition members will be actively participating throughout the week. (mt) Media Temple, one of our founding members, is hosting the “2013 SXSWi Closing Party” on Tuesday, March 12. The event will be held at Stubb’s BBQ located at 801 Red River Street beginning at 9:00 p.m. local time and will feature Richie Hawtin v. DEADMAU5, The Joy Formidable, and Local Natives.
In addition, founding member Data Foundry will also be at SXSWi. One of its sister companies is hosting the “Take Back Your Internet Party” on Monday, March 11. The event will be held at The Hangar Lounge at 318 Colorado Street from 6-10:00 p.m. local time and will feature music by Eagle Eye Williamson.
i2Coalition founding member Rackspace also has a great event planned about the company’s Open Cloud Experience. The Rackspace MVP Party is scheduled for tomorrow, March 8 at Champions Marriott Courtyard located at 4th & Trinity-Downtown Austin from 6-8:00 p.m. Learn more about the event and happenings during the week on Rackspace’s blog.
SXSWi promises to be a great conference this year and I’m happy to be a part of it. For more details about the week, visit the official SXSW website for information about all the conferences and festivals. I hope to see you in Austin!
