i2Coalition Joins 10 Organizations Promoting Innovation And Inclusion To Digital Economy Task Force (DETF)
The i2Coalition was founded on the principle that a successful and innovative Internet is a free and open Internet. The i2Coalition is made up of companies that provide the foundations for other technologies. We not only want to see growth and innovation in these areas continue but as an association with a working group dedicated to diversity and inclusion, we are interested in seeing global policies that foster access to information and opportunity.
As such, we are happy to support this letter to the Digital Economy Task Force (DETF) for the August G20 Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting. In 2017 the G20 stated, “the digital economy is an increasingly important driver of global inclusive economic growth and plays a significant role in accelerating economic development, enhancing the productivity of existing industries, cultivating new markets and industries and achieving inclusive sustainable growth and development.” Our letter with 10 other organizations (listed and linked below) encourages the G20 to create and promote policies that continue to champion this cause.
