Internet Infrastructure Ally David Redl Confirmed To NTIA

Today, the i2Coalition sent a letter of congratulations to Assistant Secretary David Redl on his confirmation as Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information for the Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). During his tenure as the Chief Counsel for the U.S House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, he was a key ally in the battle for to secure United States support for the IANA Transition. The i2Coalition works closely with NTIA on many issues. As such we’re pleased to see an appointment and confirmation to this position who understands the key role the Internet infrastructure plays in the economy as a whole.
