On behalf of our 4,300 employees, Rackspace Hosting is proud to be a founding member of the i2Coalition, a new association committed to advancing the growth of our industry. As a global leader in cloud computing, Rackspace shares with other coalition members the goal of promoting an Internet that is both safe and free to grow and innovate.
The i2Coalition is launching at a significant time in our industry when it is important for hosting and cloud providers, data-center operators and other IT infrastructure companies to work together in safeguarding our industry’s future. i2Coalition is dedicated to educating policy makers and media, sharing best practices among members and promoting the economic benefits that our industry delivers, within and beyond the IT sector.
Members of i2C are determined to ensure that the Internet remains a secure and open engine of innovation and free expression. We at Rackspace are confident that this promising new association will build strong relationships among its members and help create advocates who will advance public policies in the United States that will improve the reach and usefulness of the Internet across the globe.
Alan Schoenbaum is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Rackspace and leads the global legal team. Alan is also responsible for Rackspace’s government relations efforts.
